Anritsu MT9083C ACCESS Master

The Anritsu MT9083C is a multi-purpose network tester. The MT9083C can be used in many different applications including installation, testing and maintenance of your fiber-optic, network, LAN or CATV system.

The Anritsu MT9083C is a durable, portable solution. The high capacity battery allows for all day use. The unit boasts an impressive 8 hours of battery life without the need for a recharge. Its portability is reflected in its compact size. Without it protector (option 010) it measures just 270×165×61 mm and weighs in a lightweight 2.2 kg. With the protector, the dimensions increase only slightly to 284×200×77 mm. The protector (option 010) adds just 700 grams to the total weight.

For testing of optical networks, the MT9083C features a stabilized light source and an optical power meter. A high-power meter is an option. The MT9083C also provides a visible light source to allow for easy fault-finding as well as providing support for Video Inspection Probes.

Network functionality testing is available through connection and ping tests together with the capability to measure FTTx download speed. The Anritsu unit also provides network throughput testing and Gigabit Ethernet support. When using the MT9083C, the IOR (Index of refractivity) can be set between 1.400000 and 1.699999 in steps of 0.000001 with up to 150,001 sampling points. When operated over a long distance, the MT9083C series can operate over runs of up to 300 km. Testing modes supported by the MT9083C include: Fault locate, Standard OTDR, Construction OTDR, Light source, Connector Video Inspection, and the optional Loss Test Set and Probe Visual Fault Locator modes.
