Tektronix RSA306B USB Spectrum Analyzer

Designed to operate in a range of 9 kHz to 6.2 GHz, the Tektronix RSA306B is a USB Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer, available as a low-cost solution. This model is designed to cover a broad range of analysis and measurement needs. This instrument uses a combination of SignalVu-PC™ RF Signal Analysis Programs by Tektronix and the user’s regular personal computer to provide streaming capture, real-time spectrum analysis, and in-depth signal analysis capabilities.  The Tektronix RSA306B comes with a measurement range of +20 to -160 dBm and can generate fast sweeps over its entire span of 6.2 GHz for the quick and easy detection of unknown signals.

This USB spectrum analyzer can perform with minimum signal duration as narrow as 27 μsec, captured with an intercept probability of around 100%. It comes equipped with DataVu-PC software, which makes it capable of multi-unit recording in a variety of bandwidths. For the Microsoft Windows environment, it also supports an Application Programming Interface. Thus, customers who require programmatic access to the Tektronix RSA306B can use the incorporated programming API. In addition, a MATLAB driver is available for the API to enable operation of the Instrument Control Toolbox with MATLAB.

As a spectrum analyzer, the Tektronix RSA306B can handle three traces and provides five markets with power, integrated power, relative power, dBc/Hz functions, and power density. This instrument also offers essential vector analysis functions. The Time Overview/Navigator mode enables the user for in-depth multiple domain analysis with easy setting of acquisition. The Tektronix RSA306B can measure critical parameters in AM, FM, and PM domains.
