Tektronix RSA5115A Spectrum Analyzer

The Tektronix RSA5115A is a Real-Time Signal Analyzer designed to provide solutions within a frequency range of 1 Hz to 15 GHz. This model is well-known among engineers working in RF system integration, design and performance verifications, as well as on the development and validation of components. With this instrument, the user can complete time-correlated measurements across the phase, frequency, modulation, and amplitude domains.

The Tektronix RSA5115A has many measurement capabilities to offer. As a spectrum analyzer, this model can be employed for Channel and Adjacent Channel Power, Leakage Ratio, xdB Down, dBc/Hz Marker, and Occupied Bandwidth measurements. The same instrument can also be used for making several spur search measurements up to 20 frequency range and for linear or log frequency scale. In its standard configuration, the RSA5115A offers measurement functions for analog modulation analysis including (but not limited to) % Amplitude Modulation (+, –, Total), Phase Modulation (±Peak, RMS, +Peak, –Peak), etc.

The Tektronix RSA5115A comes with a sound input/output configuration. It has two sets of USB 2.0 Ports (one set at each front and rear panel), a standard Ethernet port, and an IEEE 488.2 enabled GPIB Interface as well. This model offers within 10–7 Initial Center Frequency Setting Accuracy after just 10-minute warm-up. In auto mode, the RSA5115A operates with a span accuracy of ±0.3% of Span. Apart from all these features, this signal analyzer comes with multiple trigger modes, which include: free run, fast frame, and triggered. Either front panel mount trigger 1, rear panel mount trigger 2, or the RF input can be used as a trigger source.
