Tektronix TLA704 Logic Analyzer

The Tektronix TLA704 is a Logic Analyzer with a Portable Mainframe. This model features 16 MB DRAM, 2 GB Hard Drive, and is powered by an Intel Pentium 133 MHz processor. The TLA704 is offered with version 3.2 of the Tektronix TLA700 software program. This Logic Analyzer comes with an integrated, digitizing storage oscilloscope available in two versions: benchtop and portable. The TLA704 offers simultaneous timing and state measurements by means of a single probe. The TLA (logic analyzer) module is MagniVu capable. Through MagniVu acquisition technology, timing resolution of up to 500 picoseconds can be achieved on all channels. MagniVu requires no additional probe and its data remains available for all channels. The digitizing oscilloscope module implements real-time based digital signal acquisition.

 The user interface of this instrument is built on the Microsoft Windows 95 operating system. Thus, users can install any Windows PC compatible third-party software and hardware on their TLA704. This Logic Analyzer has a 10.4 inch, TFT (thin film transistor) type color LCD display. The front panel of the portable mainframe comes with a QWERTY keypad, HEX keypad, as well as an integrated pointing device i.e. GlidePoint Touchpad. Numerous ports can be located on the rear-panel, such as a Serial Interface Port, Parallel Interface Port, SVGA Output Port, etc.

The TLA704 consumes maximum 600 watts of power. This model comes with a comprehensive and efficient cooling system, since it activates cooling for occupied slots only. A blower speed control switch is also provided on the rear panel that can be used to select between variable speed and full speed.
