Tektronix TLA714 Portable Logic Analyzer Mainframe

The Tektronix TLA714 is a Portable, Color Mainframe that functions as a Digital Storage Oscilloscope, a Logic Analyzer, or as a combination of both depending on the kind of modules installed in the slots. This model comes with standard PC I/O ports, 2 USB 2.0 Ports, 2 PCMCIA PC Card Slots, and is based on the Microsoft Windows Operating System. Four backplane slots on this model support instrument modules from the Tektronix TLA700 Series.

The bus trigger line, precision clock, and the even signaling between the instrument modules and mainframe support sequencing, real-time triggering, and time correlation of events. This logic analyzer comes equipped with an Intel Pentium 266 MHz MMX processor and Windows 98. The display system incorporated in this model features standard graphics-acceleration technology, which supports both an external color XGA/SVGA monitor and internal color LCD. The Tektronix TLA714 comes equipped with a TFT color LCD display with a CCFL backlight and controllable intensity through software.

This logic analyzer features a front panel with powerful control elements, including: special function knobs, QWERTY, and HEX keypads, and a glidepoint touchpad with MENU, SELECT, and DRAG buttons. In workplaces with limited bench space, the vertically mounted glidepoint device can be an alternative for an external mouse. However, this portable mainframe comes with standard keyboard and mouse ports. The TLA714 is offered with factory installed Microsoft Windows Operating System and an application software, which launched after the unit, boots up. This model weighs around 14 kg with no modules installed.
