Anritsu MF2412C Microwave Frequency Counter

The MF2412C Microwave Frequency Counter designed by Anritsu is well-suited for assessing mobile radio communications circuits and devices and evaluating the pulse width and carrier frequency of burst signals. The Anritsu MF2412C has a frequency range encompassing 600 MHz to 20 GHz, the ability to save 10 setups, measures 213 x 88 x 350 mm, and weighs less than 5 kg. The Anritsu MF2412C also has a high-frequency fuse which will prevent the input circuit from being damaged by over-power signals. Multiple adapters are also obtainable for coupling every connector.

One of the benefits of the MF2412C model, along with others in the series, is that a crystal oscillator is already installed. In the previous MF2400B series, the crystal oscillator was an option, but was not included as standard with the models. The included crystal oscillator promises higher stable measurements without the stress and cost of upgrading. Another benefit of the Anritsu MF2412C is that the carrier signal frequency can be evaluated by utilizing the trigger delay and gating functions. The carrier signal frequency can be evaluated during any position of the signal and at any stated time.

While utilizing the GPIB function, an automated measurement system can be construed; the measurement results are output from the Aux connector located on the rear panel as a G/No-go signal. Measurement results can be displayed on the 12-digit vacuum fluorescent display (VFD), along with frequency values, which can be read with the analog display function. This can also be used for checking results and changing oscillator frequency levels.
