National Instruments IMAQ-A6804 Cable

The IMAQ-A6804 (part number: 187805-01) is a versatile cable from National Instruments. As part of the IMAQ 6804 product family, the IMAQ-A6804 is designed to connect up to 4 analog devices to an IMAQ Image Acquisition Device. With a length of 1 m (~3 ft), the cable is easily incorporated into test setups of all sizes. A 68-pin VHDCI connector on one end facilitates connection to any compatible IMAQ device.

On the other end of the IMAQ-A6804 cable, four BNC connector ports allow for up to three video channels and one trigger channel to be added to the IMAQ device. The three video channels can be identified by the labels “V1”, “V2”, and “V3”. The trigger channel can be easily located alongside the “T0” label. 

Using this cable is incredibly simple. In order to securely connect the IMAQ-A6804, the VHDCI connector should be inserted into the external 68 pin VHDCI receptacle of the IMAQ device. Once the correct polarity is achieved, the thumbscrews can be tightened to ensure a completely secure connection. It is important to note that the IMAQ-A6804 is specifically designed to be used with analog devices. For digital devices, the IMAQ-D6804 cable should be used.
