National Instruments MKD-1117 Monitor and Keyboard Drawer Accessory

The National Instruments MKD-1117 is a Monitor and Keyboard Drawer Accessory designed for use with rack-mounted test and measurement applications. This versatile monitor and keyboard kit is compatible with PCs (both desktop and industrial) as well as with modular PXI systems. For ease of use, this device is able to be easily mounted onto a 19 inch rack mount.

The LCD monitor of the MKD-1117 measures 17 inches and boasts a resolution of 1280 × 1024. The automatic power switch shuts off the LCD backlight of the monitor when it is folded in half in order to conserve power. Outside devices can be connected to the screen by using a VGA connector. The keyboard of the MKD-1117 is designed for English speaking users, featuring 105 keys for a user-friendly input option. In addition, the monitor uses a touchpad mouse which is equipped with a 2x PS/2 connector.

The electrical input of the monitor ranges from 100 to 240 VAC with a maximum current draw of 3A. For additional protection, the drawer of the MKD-1117 is secure by both thumb screws and self-locking rails.

Designed to be used in a variety of environmental conditions, the MKD-1117 should only be operated in environments where the temperatures remain in the range of 0 to 50 °C. When not being used, the device can withstand wide-ranging storage temperatures spanning from –20 to 60 °C. The MKD-1117 measures 17.42 × 1.75 × 21.65 in. (44.24 × 4.45 × 55.00 cm) in dimensions. However, the drawer can be extended by 17 inches if needed. The device weighs 15.5 kg (34.2 lb).
