National Instruments NI-9921 Outdoor IP Enclosure

The NI-9921 is an Outdoor IP Enclosure designed for use with NI WLS-9000 Series Devices. The manufacturer of the NI 9921 Enclosure is National Instruments. The NI-9921 is available with the part number 196646-01. The NI-9921 is an enclosure capable of providing protection from harsh and rough outdoor environments. This Outdoor IP Enclosure has been designed to provide a minimum IP rating of 54. The IP 54 rating indicates that the enclosure aids in protecting your wireless DAQ devices, along with preventing the entry of dust particles and spraying water. The NI-9921 Enclosure can be used with IP-rated cables and accessories as well.

The NI-9921 Enclosure conforms to the ingress requirements mentioned in IEC 60529. The National Instruments NI 9921 contains rubberized glands for passing I/O signals to a WLS-9xxx device mounted inside, as well as an external antenna for communicating to a host computer. This Outdoor IP Enclosure is a fiberglass enclosure with a power connector. The NI-9921 Enclosure does not have an Ethernet port or a trigger connector.

The NI-9921 can accommodate one WLS-9xxx wireless DAQ device. This enclosure can be mounted. National Instruments recommends attaching the cover after mounting the NI 9921 and installing the wireless DAQ device afterwards. The shipping kit for the National Instruments NI 9921 contains the necessary clamps, glands, an antenna, and DIN rail mounting. The user also has the flexibility to attach additional cable glands in the enclosure if needed but the additional glands must be the same IP rating as the enclosure. The operating temperature of this Outdoor IP Enclosure is between 0 to 55°C.
