National Instruments NI-9939 Backshell Kit

The NI-9939 (Part Numbers: 192692-01 and 785082-01) is a Backshell Kit from National Instruments. This kit is designed to protect the operator from HV signals. The NI 9939 can be deployed with any 16-position screw terminal or 16-position spring terminal connector block. This Backshell Kit is recommended to be used with devices such as the National Instruments NI-9485, NI-9924, NI-9928, NI-9436, and NI-9217. The NI-9939 Backshell Kit provides maximum protection to the operator from electric shocks and hazards.

The two part numbers of the NI-9939 refer to the different connector terminals. Part number 192692-01 is the backshell for screw terminal connections, while part number 785082-01 is the backshell for spring terminal connections. 

The strain relief function of the NI-9939 is designed to hold the cable in the right position. Thus, you can use this device for connectivity between a rigid connection point and a flexible cable. This NI-9939 Backshell Kit is a versatile device because it can be used with various devices. However, a single NI 9939 Backshell Kit can secure only one 16-position terminal. You would need additional NI-9939 Backshell Kits if you needed to use them with more than one 16-position screw terminal.
