National Instruments SCB-100A Shielded I/O Connector Block  

The SCB-100A is a Shielded I/O Connector Block. National Instruments produced the NI SCB-100A Connector Block. The SCB-100A block can also be identified and purchased with the part number 785024-01. The NI SCB-100A is designed with a magnetic removable lid. The SCB-100A is manufactured with 100 screw terminals for simple and reliable I/O connections. The NI SCB-100A Connector Block is designed for use with 100-pin digital I/O modules and devices.

The National Instruments SCB-100A Shielded I/O Connector Block is fabricated for providing signal connections to multiple digital input/output modules by National Instruments, such as the PCI-DIO-96, NI-6513, NI-6514, NI-6511, NI-6512, NI-6508, NI-6509, NI-6515, NI-6528, and NI-6529. This Connector Block can additionally be utilized with Counter/Timer devices such as the NI-6624. The NI SCB-100A is compatible with the SH100-100-F Cable (Part Number: 185095-0x). The SCB-100A can be used in several configurations, including on a desktop or mounted to a DIN rail or a panel. The compatible DIN rail mounting kit is NI-9913 (Part number: 781740-01). The threaded holes on the SCB-100A should not be utilized more than 5 times to prevent a compromised connection between the DIN rail clip and accessory.

The NI SCB-100A Shielded I/O Connector Block has a maximum current of 0.5 A at screw terminals 1-48 and 51-98. However, the maximum current at screw terminals 49-50 and 99-100 is 1 A. The SCB-100A Connector Block can function with a maximum voltage of 30 V RMS, 42 V peak, 60 V DC. The NI SCB-100A Shielded I/O Connector Block is manufactured with one 100-pin male 0.050 series shielded D-type connector.

The SCB-100A is run using the NIDAQmx driver software which is compatible with software packages or application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW or LabWindows/CVI. The device can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool.
