National Instruments USB-1357 Backplane Assembly       

The USB-1357 is a high-voltage SCXI Plug-and-Play Backplane for USB. The NI USB-1357 is designed and manufactured by National Instruments. The USB-1357 is manufactured with the part number 776576-571. This Backplane Assembly is used for matrix expansion or signal routing between SCXI modules. The NI USB-1357 is used with the NI driver tools NI-SWITCH as well as NI-DAQmx. This Backplane Assembly is compatible with Windows operating systems, including Windows 2000/NT/XP.

The NI USB-1357 is a 4-slot Backplane Assembly. The National Instruments USB-1357 Assembly is installed in an SCXI-1000 Chassis and used with the USB-1359 Communication Adapter to communicate with National Instruments SCXI switch modules. This configuration eradicates system setup tasks, excluding inserting the SCXI switch modules into the open slots and plugging in the USB cable. The NI USB-1357 adds a 4-slot backplane across the SCXI chassis which can route signals to a maximum of 300 V between modules. SCXI modules that can be utilized with the USB-1357 include the SCXI-1175, SCXI-1127, SCXI-1128, and SCXI-1129.
