National Instruments AT-1212 Signal Generator Adapter Module for FlexRIO

Featured with DC-coupled single-ended inputs and 1.25 GS/s maximum update rate, the AT-1212 (Part Number: 782248-02) is a Signal Generator Adapter Module for FlexRIO. This model is specially built for FlexRIO. The NI AT-1212 comes with 2 AO (analog output) channels for signal generation. Various user-configurable parameters of this module make it a viable solution in applications where customization is required. The AT-1212 has an analog output voltage range of -2 V to 2 V and offers 14-bit analog output resolution at 480 MHz analog bandwidth. The CLIP DESIGN in the AT-1212 module is based on 2 digital-to-analog converters. These two DACs are used to control the analog output channels. The DAC of the NI AT-1212 also contains 2 LVDS input ports. These LVDS ports consist of 14 differential LVDS signals. Each port operates at half the speed of the digital-to-analog converter clock. This Signal Generator Adapter Module comes equipped with an integrated clock generator capable of providing the required clock signal to the DAC. The source clock for this clock generator is provided by an integrated 25 MHz TCXO. The uController is another important element of the CLIP DESIGN because the Clock gen registers the DAC parameters and controls the output of the multiplexer. Moreover, the uController ensures a smooth startup of the unit through Power-up sequencing.
