National Instruments AT-DIO-32F Digital I/O Interface

The AT-DIO-32F is a high-speed Digital I/O Interface developed by National Instruments. The AT-DIO-32F is available with part numbers 180735-01 and 776246-01. The AT-DIO-32F is a member of National Instruments AT Series and works as a channel expansion board for interfacing with IBM PC and other computers. This 32-bit parallel Digital I/O Interface features 32 I/O channels organized into four 8-bit ports. The AT-DIO-32F is compatible with TTL.

With a data transfer rate of 450 keywords per second and high performance of data acquisition for laboratory or production testing, it can control and monitor industrial processes. The AT-DIO-32F can handle interrupts with its onboard counters. DMA transfers on 2 DMA channels can generate patterns. The availability of a large number of handshaking options makes this Digital I/O Interface compatible with a wide-ranging variety of computers and other devices. The AT-DIO-32F interface can communicate with other AT Series boards via the RTSI bus interface.

For data transfer, the AT-DIO-32F uses a 50-pin male connector compatible with a DEC DRV11J parallel interface and other 32-bit channel I/O applications. The AT-DIO-32F can interface with IBM PC/XT, PC AT, and Apple Macintosh II computers containing the National Instruments NB-DIO-24 or NB-DIO-32F, Q-BUS system with a 16-bit interface, DEC LSI-11 microcomputer with a 32-bit DRV11J interface, and other 8-bit, 16-bit, or 32-bit parallel interface computers containing different National Instruments DIO modules. This Digital I/O Interface is also compatible with panel meters, testing instruments with BCD readouts, and control and optoisolated solid-state relays. The AT-DIO-32F can be used with DOS using LabWindows and with Windows using LabVIEW.

AT-DIO-32F Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the interface will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
