National Instruments AT-DIO-32HS Digital I/O Board

The AT-DIO-32HS (Part Number: 777313-01) is a parallel Digital I/O Board from the family of National Instruments NI-6533 devices. The AT-DIO-32HS is a high-speed digital input/output board with the capability to interface with PCI, PXI, and PCMCIA. The AT-DIO-32HS features 32 (5V TTL/CMOS) I/O lines divided into four 8-bit ports. The AT-DIO-32HS can communicate with National Instruments DAQ-DIO ASIC and offers dual DMA with an uninterrupted and high speed of data transfer up to 20 MHz (80 Megabytes/second).

This Digital I/O Board can perform handshaking and pattern I/O, for which ports are used in 8-bits, 16-bits, or a single 32-bits group. While configured for input, ports are terminated at diodes to damp reflections of lines. During the configuration for output, each port can source up to 24 mA for high logic and sinks the same amount for low logic.

The AT-DIO-32HS is a jumper-less and switchless DAQ device for 16-bit ISA AT bus to apply ISA specifications and to configure interrupts, DMA channels, and base I/O addresses without removing the device from the operating system. While programming for the Digital I/O Board, several options can be taken into consideration. For powerful and interactive graphics, LabVIEW can be used with a series of VIs available for National Instruments hardware in the LabVIEW Data Acquisition VI Library. For programming in C language and ANSI standards, LabWindows/CVI can be used with LabWindows/CVI Data Acquisition Library and ComponentWorks can be used for a higher-level programming interface.

AT-DIO-32HS Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the board will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
