National Instruments BNC-2096 Rack-Mount Adapter

The BNC-2096 is a 16 Channel Rack-Mount Adapter developed by National Instruments. The NI BNC-2096 can be ordered using part number 778841-01. The BNC-2096 is configured with NI-DAQmx version 7.2 or later. This Rack-Mount Adapter can be installed on Windows NT/2000/XP. The LabVIEW application software is recommended by National Instruments for using the BNC-2096.  

The BNC-2096 is designed to read the information of Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) with the standard protocols of IEEE P1451.4 from Class 1 TEDS sensors. Virtual TEDS sensors can be utilized with TEDS sensors in the measurement system. The NI BNC-2096 transports the information to the acquisition device. This Rack-Mount Adapter is configured for controlling E Series data acquisition modules with a 68-pin connector. Control of the NI 4021 is possible through a 10-pin auxiliary connector on the NI BNC-2096. The BNC-2096 is fabricated with external power options. The NI BNC-2096 can control multiple BNC-2096 devices by the AUX connector using one control device.

The BNC-2096 comes with 5-bit addressing options for utilizing the number of adaptors. The BNC-2096 adapter is designed to fit in 19 in. rack-mount housing. This Rack-Mount Adapter has a maximum of 8 BNC connectors per controller. The power requirement of the BNC-2096 is +5 VDC voltage and 50 mA current. The BNC-2096 contains 32 BNC connectors for input/output connections. The NI BNC 2096 can be used with the following types of cables: a   68-pin cable or AUX cable, a BNC-to-BNC cable, or a BNC-to-SMB cable (for use with the NI-447X).
