While each spring terminal of the 785192-01 is designed for one wire, a 2-wire ferrule can be used to accommodate 2 wires per spring terminal. A 10 mm (0.394 in.) length of insulation stripped from the end of the wires enhance the stability and security of the connections, allowing for peace of mind. The spring terminal connectors themselves are attached to the module through the use of screw flanges, which are secured with a torque of 0.2 N · m (1.80 lb · in.).

Ferrules can be used with the 785192-01 in various configurations. A single ferrule can support a wire gauge from 0.13 mm2 to 1.5 mm2 (26 AWG to 16 AWG) when uninsulated, and can support a wire gauge from 0.13 mm2 to 1.0 mm2 (26 AWG to 18 AWG) when insulated. If an insulated two-wire ferrule is used, it can accommodate 2x 0.34 mm2 (2x 22 AWG) wires.

When all channels of the 785192-01 are active, the output current is limited to a maximum of 125 mA per channel. However, if only one channel is in use, the maximum current output is significantly higher at 500 mA.
