National Instruments NI-9210 C Series Temperature Input Module
The NI-9210 is a C Series Temperature Input Module from National Instruments. There are two versions of this module. Part number 784788-01 has 60 Vrms Ch-Earth Ground Isolation and a Miniature Thermocouple (mini-TC) front connector. Part number 785043-01 has 250 Vrms Ch-Earth Ground Isolation and a Spring Terminal front connector. This module is ideal for thermocouple measurements with high accuracy. Supported hardware platforms for the NI-9210 module are CompactDAQ/CompactRIO systems. This module features NIST-traceable calibration. The channels of the NI-9210 have a dual isolation barrier. These features make it safe, noise immune, and provide a high voltage range. The NI-9210 module takes inputs from thermocouples and RTDs. The NI 9210 supports all standard thermocouples.
The NI-9210 Temperature Input Module has four differential analog input channels with a Delta-Sigma type ADC. The resolution of the ADC is 24 bits. The NI-9210 module supports a scanned sampling mode. This module can measure within the range of +80 mV voltage. The conversion time of the module is 70 ms/channel. The input bandwidth of the NI-9210 module is 15 Hz at -3dB. The module also removes low-frequency noise of 50/60 Hz. The minimum noise rejection of the NI-9210 module is 85 dB. The input terminals also have up to +30 V overvoltage protection.
The NI-9210 Temperature Input Module has two internal channels for measurement accuracy. These channels include an auto zero channel and a cold junction channel. The auto zero terminal is optional. The NI-9210 module has the maximum power consumption of 200 mW in active mode. In sleep mode, it reduces to 10 mW.
