National Instruments NI-9253 Current Input Module

The NI-9253 (Part Numbers: 785989-01 and 785989-02) is a Current Input Module from National Instruments C Series. This analog input module is designed for CompactRIO and CompactDAQ systems. The NI-9253 comes with 8 analog input channels. Each one of these channels can operate over a broad input range of ±20 mA. This module can obtain samples at rates up to 50 kS/s with 24 bits of resolution. The National Instruments NI 9253 Current Input Module has various diagnostic features, such as power supply monitoring, configurable thresholds, and open channel monitoring. This module has a dedicated LED to inform the user about the status of the channels and the power supply. Thus, you can quickly validate that the device is operating as required.

This Current Input Module features multiple kinds of programmable hardware filters. You can significantly minimize the overall noise in your system by choosing the specific comb and Butterworth filters for your applications. An external power supply can also be connected to the NI-9253 to provide the required current for the devices connected to it. This C Series module can be operated within a temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C, which enables the NI-9253 to be deployed in moderate or harsh environmental conditions for different kinds of applications.

The National Instruments NI-9253 is a hot-swappable module and can easily be moved from the CompactDAQ to CompactRIO platform without any modifications. This module comes equipped with integrated signal conditioning circuitry. The samples acquired through each channel are sample by an Analog-to-Digital converter after being buffered and conditioned.
