National Instruments NI-9752 C Series VR/Hall Interface Module

The NI-9752 (Part number: 782075-01) is a C Series VR/Hall Interface Module designed by National Instruments. This module comes with a set of self-propelled style inputs, including both analog and digital inputs. The inputs interface with standard self-propelled sensors. The module has 21 analog input channels. The NI 9752 VR/Hall Interface Module comes with input sensors with variable reluctance. It is highly adaptive in nature. These inputs have two channels. The VR sensor input has 60 VDC input range. It also includes two-channel Hall Effect sensor inputs. It provides short circuit protection. Each channel can be configured through surface mount components with pull‑up and pull‑down. They can also be configured by using divide and resistor‑capacitor (RC) low pass filters.

The NI 9752 module is compatible with Compact RIO. The CompactRIO delivers the sensor power. National Instruments suggests using the NI-9923 connector kit with the NI 9752. The NI-9923 provides proper strain assistance for connections.  All analog input channels included in the module are single ended inputs. They are quite similar to production self-propelled ECU analog inputs and help provide filtering, along with protection from over voltage. Similarly, it helps to provide safety against under voltage. The best results can be achieved by providing ground and power sensors. The NI-9752 has exceptional resolution for the built-in analog to digital convertor. It has the value of 12 bits. It also has a sample rate of about 4ksps per channel. This module weighs 145 grams.
