National Instruments NI-9802 Secure Digital Removable Storage Module

The NI-9802 (Part numbers: 779941-01 and 779941-02) is an efficient SD Storage Module from the C Series by National Instruments. The module is removable and come with the capability to read to and write from SD cards. There are two standard SD Card slots. The card slot also incorporates a protective door. A solid-state and nonvolatile data storage feature enables the user to expand the storage capabilities for the CompactRIO data-logging applications. The NI-9802 SD Removable Storage Module also offers a constant Write/Read speed of 2 MB per second for a single SD card at a time. The NI-9802 Module offers a maximum 2 GB of storage capacity for each SD card. The maximum power consumption of the instrument from chassis is 400 mW in active mode and 5 mW in sleep mode. The Secure Digital Storage Module also has a minimal weight of 147 grams.

The NI-9802 SD secure removable storage module comes with an open media bay detection. This function enables and ensures the data protection and integrity. The instrument incorporates various indicators and interfaces on the front panel, which includes four LEDs, card slot doors, and card slots. The LEDs blink with different colors to indicate the different operating modes of the module. The instrument also has a built-in mechanism to enable the FPGA target clock. It supports this clock setting up to 40 MHz. The NI-9802 SD Removable Storage Module also supports the sleep mode. The module cannot communicate in this mode and consumes a small amount of power.
