National Instruments NI-9882 C Series DeviceNet Interface Module
The National Instruments NI-9882 (Part Number: 781674-01) is a 1-Port, DeviceNet Interface Module. This high-speed DeviceNet Interface Module is designed to support the development of applications on CompactRIO hardware for DeviceNet drivers with the NI-Industrial Communications. DeviceNet is CAN physical layer oriented and boosts interconnectivity and strength by specifying numerous parameters, including but not limited to, the connectors, baud rates, and required cable length. For PCI devices, PXI modules, and the CompactRIO module, this module comes featured with a common API.
The National Instruments NI 9882 comes with one CAN port that operates in complete isolation from other modules existing in the system. This device can easily be connected to any location on a CAN bus through its port. The port incorporated in this module features a Bosch DCAN controller that is fully compatible with the CAN 2.0B and supports both 11 and 29-bit identifiers. Moreover, the CAN port of the NI-9882 also has a High-Speed, ISO 11898 compatible CAN transceiver (NXP PCA82C251T) that supports up to 1 Mbps baud rates.
This module offers +9 to +30 VDC CAN Supply voltage range (Vsup). While operating in inactive and sleep mode, the National Instruments NI-9882 DeviceNet Interface Module consumes 1 W and 2.55 mW of maximum power respectively. This 144 gram module offers up to 60 VDC Port-to-earth ground isolation (continuous). The user is allowed to apply -27 to +40 VDC max volts between Vsup terminals or any port and a COM terminal.
