National Instruments NI-9969 Strain Relief and Extra Connector (9244 C Series Voltage Input Module NI)

The NI-9969 (Part Numbers: 783154-01 and 156516-01) is a strain relief and extra connector made to accommodate the National Instruments NI-9244 (C Series Voltage Input Module NI) analog input module. The NI-9969 should be used if the application involves high vibration or hazardous voltages. In instances of high vibration, ferrules must be used to terminate wires to the proper connectors. Once terminated, the NI-9969 strain relief and extra connector may be attached. 

The NI-9969 strain relief and extra connector must be used with the NI-9244 4-terminal connector. The NI-9969 connector back shell accessory ensures that the terminals are kept away from operators.  

To install the NI-9969 strain relief and extra connector, the following wires may be used: 12 AWG to 14 AWG, 16 AWG, and 18 AWG to 24 AWG. The selected wires determine the method of installation. To install the NI-9969 Using 12 AWG to 14 AWG Wire, route wires under the smallest strain-relief piece. When installing the NI-9969 using the 16 AWG wire, route wires between the large and small strain-relief pieces, with the small strain-relief piece on top of the wires and the large strain-relief piece underneath the wires. To install the NI-9969 using the 18 AWG to 24 AWG wire, Route wires under the largest strain-relief piece. Once wires have been properly routed within the assembly, secure the NI-9969 strain relief and extra connector pieces in place using screws. 

The NI-9969 is a terminal block accessory that accommodates high vibration applications and ensures potentially hazardous voltages of the NI-9244 are shielded from operator contact. The NI-9969 strain relief and extra connector corresponds to the C series analog input modules and allows for connection of single- or three-phase configurations, for instance, the WYE and delta.  The NI-9969 strain relief and extra connector for wire security, high vibration adaptation, and high-voltage protection enables safe operation of the NI-9244.
