National Instruments NI-9997 C Series Busbar Module

Featured with CAT II, Channel-to-Channel isolation, the NI-9997 (Part Number: 783608-01) is a Busbar Module from National Instruments C Series. This module allows the routing of external excitation to both sensors and modules. The NI 9997 is designed to prevent your system from being affected by debris and dust in industrial settings where a polluted environment remains an issue. However, this module does not offer external connectivity with the backplane of the chassis.

The NI-9997 comes with 2 channels. Each channel has a capacity of up to 11 amperes of maximum current. In addition to two isolated channels, the NI-9997 also has 6 terminal channels. For screw terminals, you can use a 30 AWG to 14 AWG wire with a strip length of 6 millimeters. To attach more than one wire per screw terminal you can use a 2-wire ferrule.

However, the installation of this the NI 9926 inside a properly sealed panel is recommended. The NI-9997 is a Category II rated module and thus cannot be subjected to voltages greater than 60 VDC.
