National Instruments cRIO-PB-S C Series PROFIBUS Interface Module   

The cRIO-PB-S is a CompactRIO PROFIBUS Slave Interface Module. The NI cRIO-PB-S module is a product made by National Instruments. The cRIO-PB-S is built with the part number 781351-01. The NI cRIO-PB-S is designed to enable CompactRIO systems to communicate with typical PROFIBUS DP Networks. The cRIO-PB-S PROFIBUS Interface Module is made to support maximum PROFIBUS baud rates of 12000 kbits/s.

The NI cRIO-PB-S C Series PROFIBUS Interface Module is compatible with only CompactRIO systems. The National Instruments cRIO-PB-S module accumulates the PROFIBUS DP Master configuration in the integrated flash memory. The NI cRIO-PB-S PROFIBUS Interface Module connects NI programmable automation controllers (PACs) to the PROFIBUS industrial networks. In the NI cRIO-PB-S module, the network baud rate can be detected automatically and supported by cyclic input and output data up to 240 Bytes each

The National Instruments cRIO-PB-S C Series PROFIBUS Interface Module comes with an easy-to-use FPGA driver interface and a detailed sample code to be integrated directly into the user application. The cRIO-PB-S module is supported only in CompactRIO reconfigurable chassis like NI Single-Board RIO devices. PROFIBUS data rates ranges from 9600 bit/s to 12000 kbits/s. The NI cRIO-PB-S PROFIBUS Interface Module has a process image data size of 8 kbyte. The cRIO-PB-S module contains a PROFIBUS Interface with one 9-pin D-SUB port and an isolated RS485 interface. This C Series Module also has a PROFIBUS isolation voltage of 500 VDC and 2.5 W power requirements in active mode for both transmitting and receiving.
