National Instruments cFP-AI-118 Analog Input Module for Compact FieldPoint

The National Instruments cFP-AI-118 (Part Number: 777318-118) is an Analog Input Module for Compact FieldPoint. This model comes featured with eight differential analog input channels, eight different voltage input ranges, 16-bit resolution, and 10 Hz digital filter. The NI cFP-AI-118 offers simultaneous sampling on all channels. This Analog Input Module offers 250 Vrms CAT II channel-to-ground isolation on a continuous basis and 100 Vrms CAT I continuous channel-to-channel isolation. Since this module is hot swappable, it can easily be installed on a live Compact FieldPoint backplane.

 The sinc filter incorporated in this module offers 55 dB of rejection. The user can configure each channel for no rejection or for 10 Hz filtering in software. This filter can minimize 50/60 Hz noise distortion from AC power lines surrounding the NI cFP-AI-118. With no filtering, this module offers 10.42 kHz update rate. However, with filtering enabled on any of its channels, 3.45 kHz update rate can be achieved. This module is designed with a modern architecture in which the controller accesses the module memory instantly, reducing jitter significantly. Thus, it is an ideal model for industrial environments where actuators and sensors often work at different voltage levels but with common ground loops.

The cFP-AI-118 Analog Input Module consumes 1.125 watts of power and requires 30 minutes for a complete warmup. This module is designed for indoor installation and operations only. However, for outdoor use a sealed enclosure can be considered for their mounting.
