National Instruments cFP-PWM-520 Digital Output Module for Compact FieldPoint

The NI cFP-PWM-520 (Part Number: 777318-520) can be utilized to control the power of numerous DC-powered instruments. The channels on this module are sourcing outputs with short-circuit protection circuitry. For sourcing current, the VOUT terminal delivers a path to a voltage supply. In the ON state of the output period, a transistor is turned on between VSUP and VOUT. However, in the off state, the transistor is powered off, enabling only a minimal amount of leakage current to flow. If the protection circuitry notices a short-circuit on an output channel, it will deactivate the output. If the protection circuitry deactivates an output that would otherwise be in the ON setting, then the status indicator for the corresponding channel remains lit, but the output transistor will not be on. The NI device weighs 3.9 oz, and measures 5.00 x 2.60 x 0.94 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of –40 to 70 °C, and a storage temperature range of –55 to 85 °C.

cFP-PWM-520 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
