National Instruments CVS-1455 Compact Vision System

The NI CVS-1455 (Part Number: 778638-01) is a Real-Time, Rugged, Compact Vision System. This model comes with an integrated processor that can hand 1436 millions instructions per second (MIPS). The NI CVS 1455 is designed to offer high-performance, fast, and reliable image analysis and processing, along with adequate storage for data and images. This model is considered a sound solution in applications where inspection from multiple cameras or color processing is needed.

The CVS-1455 has 29 digital I/O lines (15 digital inputs and 14 digital outputs). As far as its hardware specifications are concerned, this model has 128 MB nonvolatile storage and 128 MB of DRAM memory. The network interface is a standard 10BaseT and 100BaseTX Ethernet connector compatible with IEEE 802.3. The National Instruments CVS-1455 has three FireWire ports. Thus, it can easily be used for multidimensional inspection of products, since users can connect and operate three independent cameras to acquire images in parallel. This vision system requires 24 VDC ±10% main supply voltage to operate, whereas in typical conditions it consumes 22 watts of maximum power.

The NI CVS-1455 utilizes National Instruments LabVIEW RT engine- a powerful and reliable programming environment. Moreover, this product is designed to be operated in harsh industrial environments and its wide operating temperature range (i.e. 0 to 55 °C) ensures maximum uptime. This model comes without any vent or fans and is ready for DIN-rail and panel mounting. This product is compatible with a variety of industrial sensors available on the market.
