National Instruments CVS-1458 Compact Vision System

The NI CVS-1458 (Part Number: 785274-01) is a Rugged Compact Vision System designed for GigE Vision Cameras. This Compact Vision System automates the process of acquisition and processing of images from compatible display devices and cameras. The CVS-1458 comes featured with an extensive range of digital I/O. Thus, the NI CVS-1458 can communicate with several types of externally connected devices (inducing imaging devices and machines) to initiate the inspection process. The front panel contains one RJ50 serial port, two USB ports, one VGA connector, one standard Ethernet connector, and two GigE Vision ports. The GigE Vision ports on the CVS-1458 are Gigabit Ethernet Network ports that support Power over Ethernet or PoE. Thus, the Compact Vision System can provide the power for attached cameras if the cameras used also support PoE.

The NI CVS-1458 also features a 44-pin type connector for digital I/O. This port has two bidirectional I/O input lines and eight isolated inputs and isolated outputs. The bidirectional I/O lines of this Compact Vision System support operation in both differential and single-ended modes and can be connected to a quadrature encoder. This Compact Vision System is designed to withstand the harsh operational environments usually encountered in OEM vision, industrial inspection, and vision-guided robotics applications. The National Instruments CVS-1458 Compact Vision System has various advanced features such as synchronization of inspection results through I/O and triggered camera acquisitions through a network or internal triggers. Apart from two GigE vision ports, this Compact Vision System has 1 standard Gigabit Ethernet port as well.
