National Instruments CVS-1459 Compact Vision System

The NI CVS-1459 (Part Number: 785275-01) is a durable Compact Vision System. This USB3 Vision Camera System is designed to endure severe conditions. Thus, it can be considered a viable solution for OEM vision applications, industrial inspection, and vision-guided robotics. This model offers a broad range of network connectivity capabilities for many types of machine vision applications.

The advanced features of the NI CVS-1459 enable the user to coordinate their inspection outcomes with industrial I/O. The front panel of this vision system contains 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 RJ50 serial port, 1 VGA connector, 2 USB3 Vision ports, and a standard Ethernet connector. Moreover, a set of LEDs is provided to keep the user updated about the system’s health. To accommodate 8 isolated inputs and a set of 8 digital isolated outputs, a 44-pin digital I/O port is also provided on the front panel of the National Instruments CVS-1459.

The availability of two standard USB3 ports enables this device to receive images directly from two separate USB3 enabled cameras. These USB ports can also be used for routine USB peripheral devices, such as keyboards, a mouse, flash drives, and more. The National Instruments CVS-1459 Compact Vision System comes equipped with a powerful 1.91 GHz Quad-Core Intel Atom Processer. The VGA port provided on this machine vision system can be used to acquire video output on an external monitor. The two USB3 ports provided in this model can also be used with off-the-shelf cameras.
