National Instruments PCIe-6537B Digital I/O Device

The PCIe-6537B (Part Numbers: 782631-01, 153500A-03L) is an efficient Digital I/O Device designed by National Instruments. The PCIe-6537B features various options for digital inputs and outputs for PC-based systems. This device is equipped with programmable input terminals. These terminals remove glitches and noise from incoming signals. These filters are also compatible with digital switches and relays. Another special feature of the PCIe-6537B is the digital watchdogs, which provide a fail-safe mechanism to prevent permanent damage of the device.

The PCIe-6537B Digital I/O Device is equipped with 32 data channels. These channels can stream continuous data. This device also incorporates six PFI channels. These channels have per channel direction control. This device does not have dedicated input or output channels. The range of input voltage in this Digital I/O Device is -1 to +6 volts. The output voltage range is 0 to +5 volts. 

The PCIe-6537B also features triggering; eight trigger channels are available for this purpose. These channels support RTSI and PXI type bus. This device has a clock rate up to 50 MHz. The PCIe-6537B generates signals of 2.5 and 3.3 volts. The maximum drive strength is +16 mA and +32 mA respectively. This device also has an onboard clock, with a frequency from 48 Hz to 50 MHz. The maximum toggling rate for the data channels is 25 MHz.

The PCIe-6537B Digital I/O Device supports NI-DAQmx driver software. The older versions of this software before version 9.6.1 are not supported. The NI-DAQ features a programming interface with various ADEs. Supported application software types are NI LabVIEW, NI LabWindows, and Microsoft Visual Studio.
