National Instruments PCI-4454 Dynamic Signal Acquisition Device

The PCI-4454 is a Dynamic Signal Acquisition Device designed by National Instruments. The PCI-4454 offers high performance for measurements with high accuracy. The PCI-4454 device is compatible with the PCI bus. This device also supports an external triggering function.  

The NI PCI-4454 Dynamic Signal Acquisition Device features four analog single-ended input channels. The input channels can be configured through software. The coupling type for the input channels can be selected with a software-programmable switch. This model supports both AC and DC coupling for input channels. The input range of the device is 20 V (-10V ~ +10 V). The resolution of the input channels is 16 bits. The PCI-4454 device supports simultaneous sampling and can read samples at a maximum speed of 51.2 kS/s. The bandwidth of the input channels of the PCI-4454 device is DC to 23 kHz. This model also incorporates delta-sigma converters. For proper function, delta-sigma converters should be run at the minimum clock rate. The PCI-4454 device features self-calibration. Calibration DAQs are installed in the device for this purpose. Self-calibration is used to remove offset and gain errors.

The PCI-4454 Dynamic Signal Acquisition Device is suitable for a wide range of applications, but is specially designed for dynamic data acquisition applications. This device is used in audio signal processing and analysis, as well as audio frequency measurements and tests. The PCI-4454 device is also used for research purposing, speech research, sonar, and modal analysis. The PCI-4454 device can additionally be used in acoustics research and vibration analysis. The PCI-4454 is ideal for applications where high-fidelity signal acquisition/generation is required.
