National Instruments PCI-4472B Sound and Vibration Device

The PCI‑4472B (Part numbers: 779682-01 and 779683-01) is a Sound and Vibration Device from National Instruments that is equipped with 8 simultaneously sampled analog input channels. With 24 bits of ADC resolution, the device offers dynamic signal capture for a wide variety of sound and vibration applications. The PCI-4472B features software-configurable AC/DC coupling, and IEPE conditioning, guaranteeing accurate measurements with extremely high dynamic range transducers. SMB male connectors provide versatile connectivity options for both Analog I/O and Digital Trigger features.

The difference between the two part numbers of the PCI‑4472B is that part number 779682-01 is the standard version of the device while the 779683-01 is the sound and vibration measurement suite version. Some of the most common applications of the PCI‑4472B include monitoring machine conditions, diagnosing noise and vibration, and testing / measuring audio. An RTSI bus allows up to 5 devices to be synchronized across a ribbon cable.
