National Instruments PXIe-4464 PXI Sound and Vibration Module

The PXIe-4464 (Part Numbers: 783087-02 and 783087-01) Sound and vibration Module is manufactured by National Instruments. This module delivers simultaneous sampling on all channels. The PXIe‑4464 DSA Device includes built-in antialiasing filters to automatically adjust the sampling rate. This module has six input gain ranges, which are selectable through software. The NI PXIe 4464 comes with a Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) smart sensor to support error-free setup. The PXIe-4464 has a built-in IEPE excitation circuit, which delivers current strong data integrity over long sensor cable runs and for high-power sensors.

The NI PXIe-4464 DSA Device can operate at a maximum sample rate of 204.8kS/s per channel. It has the 24-bit resolution for the signal to noise ratio. The module has an Analog to Digital converter per channel. The ADC enables a simultaneous sample rate at the maximum sample rate across the input range. All channels have selectable digital filters to reject out-of-band noise. The PXIe 4464 is capable of triggering configurations simultaneously. It also ensures the measurements of required sensors. This module has a built-in “NI‑DAQmx” driver, which helps simplify hardware configuration and measurement.

The NI PXIe-4464 module includes Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) to configure hardware. The MAX detects compatible accessories or terminal blocks connected to the National Instruments PXIe-4464 Sound and Vibration Module. MAX helps inform other programs about devices that are connected and provides information about their configuration. MAX is automatically installed with the NI-DAQmx driver.
