National Instruments PCI-6011E Multifunction DAQ

Featured with 16 single-ended or 8 differential Analog Inputs, two 12-bit Analog Outputs, and two 24-bit Counters, the National Instruments PCI-6011E (Part numbers: PCI-MIO-16XE-50, 777385-01) is a Multifunction Data Acquisition Device (DAQ) from the E Series. The analog inputs have a sampling rate of 20 kS/s and a 16-bit resolution, while the analog outputs have a 12-bit resolution with a sampling rate of 20 kS/s. For software-controlled routing of intraboard and interboard timing and digital signals, this module has eight programmable function input (PFI) lines. This Multifunction DAQ is a viable solution for applications ranging from control applications to high-speed data logging to high voltage sensor or signal measurements.

With this DAQ, users can achieve a seamless synchronization since it comes with an RTSI or PXI Trigger Bus to share control and timing signals between devices. For floating signal sources, this full-featured device offers RSE mode or single-ended mode in applications where higher than eight channels are required.

The National Instruments PCI-6011E incurs the least possible deviation (approx. 0.0006% of measured parameter per °C) as its circuitry is designed with special components to keep the effect of temperature changes at a minimum. Moreover, this model comes with entirely software controlled self-calibration. Precise voltage reference is also included for measurement and calibration accuracy. This Multifunction DAQ comes equipped with an NI PGIA, which is an instrument and measurement class amplifier that ensures settling times at all gains. The NI PCI-6011E is compatible with 5 VTTL digital triggers sourced from PFI <0...9>, RTSI <0...6> and generated at 10 ns (minimum) pulse width. There are two up/down counter/timers and one frequency scaler incorporated in this DAQ for Timing I/O related functions.

The PCI-6011E is run using the NIDAQmx driver software which is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ADEs) like LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or Measurement Studio. The device hardware can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool. The NI device weighs 9.8 oz, and measures 6.9 x 4.2 in. in physical dimensions.

PCI-6011E Legacy Status has been announced by National Instruments, but will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
