National Instruments FP-AO-V5 Analog Voltage Output Module

The FP-AO-V5 is an Analog Voltage Output Module. The FP-AO-V5 is manufactured by National Instruments. The FP-AO-V5 is available for order with the part number 778070-04. The NI FP-AO-V5 comes with the voltage output range of 0 – 5 V. The FP-AO-V5 has a dual-channel configuration.

This module offers a resolution of 12-bits. The FP-AO-V5 is built with an internal power supply that can take current loads up to a limit of 10 mA. The NI FP-AO-V5 is configured with an output impedance of 10 Ω for each channel. Each channel on the FP-AO-V5 can provide an impedance that adds 10 mV of error for every milliampere the channel has to provide. This module has “b” terminals which are a shared reference point for both channels. If an application involves channel-to-channel isolation, the user should just utilize a single channel from every module.

This Analog Voltage Output Module can be operated with a series of FP terminal block products. The FP terminal blocks have universal core terminals to be utilized with FieldPoint modules. These FP terminal blocks can support any type of FieldPoint input/output module. The field wiring connections have a diameter of 24 – 12 AWG and are supported by serial FP blocks. These field wiring connections are required for screw and spring terminals. The FP-AO-V5 has the power requirement of 1100 mW maximum. The FP-AO-V5 supports a scan time of 1.5 ms. The FP-AO-V5 can be used with the operating temperature range from -40 to 70 °C.
