National Instruments FP-DO-400 Digital Output Module

The FP-DO-400 is a FieldPoint Digital Output Module. The manufacturer of this module is National Instruments. This module is available under part number 777518-400. This Digital Output Module mounts on a FieldPoint terminal base, FP-TB-x, which results in delivering operating power to the NI FP-DO-400. This module can function in the operating temperature range of -40°C to 70° C.

This Digital Output Module features 8 digital output channels with individual LED indicators for the channel states. There are two green status LEDs with POWER and READY lights. The module is compatible with voltages from 5 to 30 VDC. The NI FP-DO-400 is mainly used for CMOS and TTL devices, as well as for external relays and indicator lights. The main advantage of using the FP-DO-400 Digital Output Module is easy installation and trouble-free maintenance because of the onboard diagnostics. The FP-DO-400 also has a hot swapping (HotPnP) feature available, which allows the module to communicate or detach from the system while the system is running without affecting the system performance. There are also user-configurable startup states on this module.

The NI FP-DO-400 buildup on some field point terminal base (FP-TB-x) which gives operating power to the module. The digital output channels of this Digital Output Module are optically isolated from the remainder of the FieldPoint bank. Since the channels are sourcing outputs, the output terminal offers a path to a voltage supply. The user should make sure the load on each channel does not draw over 1.5 A or over 8 A squared total.
