National Instruments FP-DO-AC120 FieldPoint Discrete Output Module

The FP-DO-AC120 is a Discrete Output Module from the FieldPoint series. The FP-DO-AC120 is designed and developed by National Instruments. This module is also referred to as part number 778071-11. The NI FP-DO-AC120 is a dual-channel module with discrete AC outputs. The special features of the module are optical isolation, fused channels, plug-and-play, and compatibility with the FP-TB-10 block. The FP-DO-AC120 operates as a HotPNP module.

This Discrete Output Module can supply an output of 24 – 140 VAC. The output frequency of the FP-DO-AC120 module is in the range of 25 – 70 Hz. This frequency range makes it useful for a variety of applications. The channels of the NI FP-DO-AC120 are optically isolated. Therefore, the module is widely used in those applications where isolation is required. Another important feature of this module is that there are replaceable fuses. If you need to order new fuses, they are Littelfuse 217315 (5 × 20 mm, 3.15 A, 250 V, fast-acting). The FP-DO-AC120 exhibits a fast scanning time of 0.2 ms.   

The NI FP-DO-AC120 is designed to withstand transient voltages. The overvoltage protection rating of this Discrete Output Module is up to 2300 V_rms. The diameter of the wire used for the field wiring of the module is 24 – 12 AWG. For assistance during operation, green LEDs are installed on the FP-DO-AC120 module. These LEDs give a distant visual identification of the channel’s ON/OFF state. The NI FP-DO-AC120 can be safely used in a temperature range of -40 – 70° C.
