National Instruments FP-PG-522 Pulse Generator Module

The NI FP-PG-522 (Part Number: 777518-522) produces pulses comprising of a predefined on time pursued by a predetermined off time. In FieldPoint programming, the user can design each check input channel to work with various qualities. In the Channel Configuration discourse box, the user can select properties for each channel from the Attributes menu. The Pulse Mode attribute for a channel can be either Finite or Continuous. In Finite mode, a channel reacts to directions that begin a limited pulse train of a predefined number of pulse or stop generation of a running pulse train. A channel set to Continuous mode must be changed to Finite mode with the end goal to stop beat age. When it is changed to Finite mode from Continuous mode, a channel wraps up the current pulse and stops. The On Time property for a channel controls the span of the beats the channel creates. On Time can be any number from 1 to 65,535. Design the Resolution for the channel to set the units for On Time and Off Time. The Resolution property decides the units for On Time and Off Time. Conceivable Resolution esteems are 1 s, 10 ms, and 100 µs.

The different Resolution settings empower the user to produce short, high-accuracy pulses on a few channels and long pulses on others. If a channel is effectively creating pulses in either Continuous or Finite mode, changes to On Time, Off Time, and Resolution settings produce results after the current heartbeat is done.
