National Instruments FP-RTD-PT100 RTD Analog Input Module

The FP-RTD-PT100 is an RTD Analog Input Module designed by National Instruments. This module is available for purchase under the part number 778069-30. The NI FP-RTD-PT100 is fabricated with platinum metal. This RTD Analog Input Module is part of the resistance temperature detector devices family. The FP-RTD-PT100 is built with two wires to operate for connections. This module is comprised of dual, single-ended input channels, which each delivers 12-bit resolution. Both channels can be programmed for the °F or the °C scale. If the user’s application needs channel-to-channel isolation, make sure to only utilize a single channel of every module.

The NI FP-RTD-PT100 has an input impedance of 100 Ω. This RTD Analog Input Module provides the linearization curves of a DIN 43760 standard RTD. The National Instruments FP-RTD-PT100 RTD connects to two of the screw terminals on the FP-TB-10 for each channel. The “b” terminal is shared for the two channels. When this module is installed on an FP-TB-10 terminal base, it can be used with 8 or 16-channel FieldPoint modules in a shared FieldPoint bank.

Since the NI FP-RTD-PT100 is a two-wire module, it has an excitation current of 550 μA. This module’s RTD inputs have a measurement bandwidth of 15 Hz. The FP-RTD-PT100 has a power requirement of 375 mW maximum. The National Instruments FP-RTD-PT100 is compatible with an operating temperature range of -40 to 70 °C. The RTD inputs on this RTD Analog Input Module have a step response time of 42 ms. The module has an input protection of ±6 V.
