National Instruments NI-5783 Transceiver Adapter Module for FlexRIO

The National Instruments NI-5783 is a Transceiver Adapter Module designed for FlexRIO systems. This model is available in two variations: a Butterworth filter variant (784364-01) for time-domain applications and an elliptic filter variant (784364-02) for frequency-domain applications. Both versions of the NI-5783 come with DC-coupled inputs and have similar specifications. This module is only compatible with Kintex 7 based PXI FPGA modules and the standalone controller for FlexRIO. This device offers 100 MS/s analog input sampling and 400 MS/s analog output update rate.

The National Instruments NI-5783 is the ideal answer for applications in electronic warfare, software defined radio, machine control, and medical imaging. This device offers 4 simultaneously sampled, single-ended analog input channels through 4 HDBNC (high-density BNC) type connectors. Additionally, this module offers 4 simultaneously updated, single-ended outputs through HDBNC AO connectors.

To generate analog outputs, the National Instruments NI-5783 Transceiver Adapter Module comes equipped with a high-performance 16-bit, Quad type digital-to-analog converter (DAC). Unlike its predecessors, this device has a single connector for both the CLK IN and REF IN signals. This connector supports AC input coupling and has a Reference input voltage and Sample clock input range of 0.75 to 5.2 Vpk-pk and 0.4 to 5.2 Vpk-pk respectively.

The National Instruments NI-5783 module can receive TRIG signals through 1 single-ended channel. The TRIG connector supports DC coupling and has 10 kΩ rated input, along with 50 Ω rated output impedance. This Transceiver Adapter Module consumes 4.6 watts of power, while operating in typical conditions.
