National Instruments PXIe-7981 PXI FlexRIO MDK Module 

Designed for PXI FlexRIO, the NI PXIe-7981 is an MDK (Module Development Kit) from National Instruments. This module incorporates a mezzanine type connector interface, as well as an auxiliary connector. This FlexRIO MDK Module provides users with all the necessary tools required in the development of a custom adapter module. The NI PXIe-7981 features a KU035 FPGA manufactured from Xilinx Kintex. The FPGA incorporated in this module is fully customizable. The mezzanine interface provides access to 8 GTH transceivers for triggering and clocking. The auxiliary I/O connector is used for triggering and digital communication. The National Instrument PXIe-7981 enables you to design custom adapter modules for National Instruments FlexRIO. The complete package includes generic .dxf files, low-level documentation, 1 windowed enclosure, and 3 adapter module enclosures.

With this Module Development Kit (MDK) you will be able to choose the specific buffers, connectors, converters, and various other components suitable for your application requirements. The PXIe-7981 allows you to build the exact digital and analog I/O you want into a customized adapter module for National Instruments FlexRIO. This MDK module comes with configurable and fixed power rails. For clocking, this module has one 3.3V LVTTL input and one 2.5 LVDS differential pair input. For control, the PXIe-7981 comes with an I2C bus and 2 status handshaking signals to National Instruments FlexRIO FPGA. As far as its mechanical attributes are concerned, this MDK is a PCB fitted in a metallic enclosure. 

PXIe-7981 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the FlexRIO MDK Module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
