National Instruments PXIe-7982 PXI FlexRIO MDK Module

Featured with 4 GB DRAM and 4 GTH transceivers, the NI PXIe-7982 is an MDK Module for PXI FlexRIO systems. This kit comes with a programmable KU040 FPGA– a high-performance field-programmable gate array from Xilinx Kintex. The NI PXIe-7982 comes equipped with a mezzanine connector interface that provides hosting for custom I/O. Through this mezzanine connector, you can access the eight Xilinx GTH transceivers. The GTH transceivers imported in this module support two types of reset: component and initialization. The component reset is used for specific subsection resets and special cases during the normal operation of the GTH transceiver. The initialization reset is used for overall transceiver initialization.

The eight GTH transceivers are used for data movement. The mezzanine interface connector also provides access to single-ended GPIO and LVDS for triggering, clocking, and configuration. The NI PXIe-7982 features an auxiliary I/O connector with single-ended, general-purpose I/O. The auxiliary I/O connector can be used for digital communication and digital triggering. This module development kit has four dedicated GTH transceivers for data streaming as well. These transceivers offer data streaming at a maximum rate of 16 Gbps per lane. This MDK Module is equipped with all the required layout files, drawings, and instructions to provide you with adequate information about the designing and construction of the PCB. Later, your designed PCB will electrically and mechanically interface with the National Instruments FlexRIO FPGA Module.

PXIe-7982 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the PXI FlexRIO MDK Module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
