National Instruments GPIB-SPRC-S External SCSI-GPIB Controller

The GPIB-SPRC-S is a 240 V External SCSI-GPIB Controller by National Instruments. The NI GPIB-SPRC-S Controller is introduced with the family of GPIB Boards manufactured for SCSI ports by National Instruments. This Controller is designed for the SBus. The GPIB-SPRC-S can be utilized with the NI-488.2 driver software. The GPIB-SPRC-S External SCSI-GPIB Controller is installed with LabWindows/CVI software on Solaris operating systems. The GPIB-SPRC-S can be used with NI 488M for AIX and IRIX purposes.

The NI GPIB-SPRC-S is a General-Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB) Controller designed as a bus controller for standalone instruments from external PCs. The National Instruments GPIB-SPRC-S Controller defines the connection among programmable modules by providing the electrical, mechanical, and functional protocols. This External SCSI-GPIB Controller renders instrument specifications for controllers and talker devices. The NI GPIB-SPRC-S Controller is configured for controlling GPIB instruments with Sun. The GPIB-SPRC-S is used for SPARCstation associated with SCSI ports. The GPIB-SPRC-S supports high-speed (HS-488) specifications and IEEE NAT-4882 GPIB devices.

This External SCSI-GPIB Controller is produced to provide maximum performance and has shown full compatibility with IEEE-488.2 standards. The National Instruments GPIB-SPRC-S Controller contains a direct memory access (DMA) controller to work for high-speed instruments. The GPIB-SPRC-S is available with the TNT4882C ASIC chip. The NI GPIB-SPRC-S is operated with IBM-6000 micro-channels. The GPIB-SPRC-S is built with a POS circuit for input/output addressing choice. This External Controller is fabricated with an interrupt level and a DMA channel that does not have any switches or jumpers.

GPIB-SPRC-S Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
