National Instruments NI-3100 Industrial Controller

The National Instruments NI-3100 (Part Number: 780309-01) is an embedded, small, fanless Industrial Controller. This high-performance machine is suitable for a broad range of rugged industrial applications. The NI-3100 comes equipped with a Celeron processor from Intel and an extendable hard drive. A comprehensive range of standard PC I/O ports are incorporated in this Industrial Controller, including a CompactFlash expansion slot. Moreover, the NI-3100 can accommodate a PCI half-length or PCI Express expansion card. This modular PC offers powerful performance, despite its lean designed and operating requirements. In its standard configuration, the Industrial Controller is shipped with a preinstalled operating system. However, users can replace the preinstalled operating system with an operating system of their choice by using the USB CD-ROM.  

The National Instruments NI-3100 Industrial Controller has the resources required to provide the user with sophisticated graphics processing, since it comes equipped with GMA-950, which is a graphics controller from Intel. This modular PC is known for its comprehensive connectivity capabilities. The NI-3100 has a 9-pin DSUB serial port, an Ethernet port, four USB ports, a CompactFlash slot, and an MXI Express connector. The RJ45 Ethernet connector incorporated in this Industrial Controller supports auto-negotiation and can work with 10/100 or 1000 Ethernet connections. This modular controller can be powered through a 10 to 30 V external power supply that can provide at least 60 watts of power. The National Instruments NI-3100 is just like any other desktop computer in all aspects. You can easily access its BIOS settings to make modifications in the boot order, system time, etc. 

NI-3100 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Industrial Controller will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
