National Instruments PCI-6236 Multifunction DAQ

Featured with Bank Isolation and 4 ±20 mA range Analog Inputs, the National Instruments PCI-6236 (Part number: 779621-01) is a 16-Bit, Multifunction Data Acquisition Device (DAQ). This model not only provides bank isolation, but also offers 1,400 Vrms channel-to-bus isolation. The NI PCI 6236 is a powerful combination of capacity and efficiency because it comes featured with four 16-Bit Analog Output Channels with ±10 V range. With this module, the user can achieve up to six digital inputs and four digital outputs.

The digital I/O available on the NI PCI-6236 are fully capable with 5 V TTL/CMOS digital voltage. This device comes with a broad range of industrial features to automate the most challenging applications. The ±20 mA current input provision offers direct interference for process control loops that operate in between 4 to 20 mA. The change detection feature triggers on a predefined digital event with the least processor usage. The National Instruments PCI-6236 also features two 32-Bit counters/timers designed to operate at 80 MHz. These counters can measure linear position with two-pulse encoders as well as angular encoders.

To remove glitches, noise, and spikes from relays and digital switches connected to the DI lines of the NI PCI-6236, there are dedicated programmable debounce filters provided. This filtration plays a vital role in noisy environments to prevent false readings and subsequent actuation. Another valuable feature in this DAQ is its tendency to offer programmable power-up states. Now, users can configure power-up states in software to ensure safe operation when connected to final control elements such as valves, pumps, compressors, motors, etc.
