National Instruments PCI-6280 Multifunction DAQ

The PCI-6280 is a Multifunction DAQ designed by National Instruments. This model is available under part number 779108-01. This device is a low cost yet reliable DAQ card for PCI slots. The PCI-6280 device supports SCC and SCXI signal conditioning modules. The PCI-6280 device has a built-in configuration utility and NI-DAQmx driver. These features make it simple to configure the card for measurements. The module features analog and digital terminals, along with built-in timers in a single device. This device is used in many research and industry applications.

The PCI-6280 Multifunction DAQ incorporates eight differential channels as inputs. The ADC resolution of these channels is 18 bits. It can read samples at a maximum rate of 625 kS/sec. The input voltage of the analog channels is from +10 V to +0.1V. The default range of the working voltage is +10V. The PCI-6280 device has protection against overvoltage and can bear up to +25 V without getting damaged. When an overvoltage is given to input terminals, the input current is +20 mA. An analog trigger is also provided in the PCI-6280 with an accuracy of +1 %. The input impedance of the analog trigger is 10 kΩ. The analog channels of the PCI-6280 device are DC-coupled.  24 digital channels are also provided in the PCI-6280. Each channel can be programmed independently as inputs or outputs.

The PCI-6280 device has two 32-bit general-purpose counters/timers. The counters have both internal and external base clocks. The FIFO buffer memory of counters is two samples. This device is also equipped with a frequency generator with a base clock accuracy of 50 ppm.
