National Instruments USB-6289 Multifunction I/O Device  

The NI USB-6289 (Part Numbers: 780055-01, 780056-06, 780056-01, 780055-04, 780056-04) is a Multifunction I/O Device from National Instruments. This device connects to the user’s PC or other portable systems through a Hi-Speed USB port. The warm-up time for this USB device is 30 minutes. The calibration interval for optimal performance is 2 years. This device supports the maximum working voltage to 11 V. This working voltage includes the signal voltage and common mode voltage. The power supply requirement of this device is 11 to 30 VDC. The USB 6289 NI uses four Signal Streams. These signal streams provide analog input and analog output, along with digital input and digital output.

The USB 6289 has two general-purpose counters/timers with 32-bit resolution. These counters offer measurements for Edge Counting, Pulse, and Two-Edge Separation. The internal base clocks of these counters have 80 MHz, 20 MHz, and 0.1 MHz frequencies. The external base clock frequency for these counters is 0 MHz to 20 MHz. This device also has one analog trigger with 10-bits resolution. The analog trigger has Analog Edge Triggering and Analog Window Triggering modes.

The NI USB 6289 has 16 differential or 32 single-ended analog input channels and 4 analog output channels. The input channels offer an ADC resolution of 18-bits. The output channels provide a DAC resolution of 16-bits. The sample rate for a single channel is 625 kS/s and for multiple channels is 500 kS/s.
