National Instruments ISM-7412 Integrated Stepper Drive and Motor Device

The National Instruments ISM-7412 (Part Numbers: 783601-01 and 783602-01) is an Integrated Stepper Drive and Motor Device. This device comes with a NEMA 23 size motor that is designed to operate with a maximum torque of 210 oz-in. This two-in-one device is a complete portable solution for various applications where precisely controlled motion is required. The NI ISM-7412 has built-in Ethernet capabilities. Thus, you can operate this device over your already existing LAN. You will need a NI PS-12 or PS-13 Power Supply to power this device. The ISM-7412 comes with 4 mounting holes and can easily be mounted with the help of 4 screws. The board that includes control circuitry and other ports is provided on the top of the motor. In this arrangement, the user will find it easy to connect signals and networking cables to the device.  

The NI ISM-7412 Integrated Stepper Drive and Motor Device comes equipped with an internal fuse that connects to the positive terminal of the power supply. This fuse cannot be replaced by the user. However, you can replace this fuse yourself by installing a 4 A fast-acting fuse on the positive lead of the power supply. Your Integrated Stepper Drive and Motor Device comes with a sixteen position, IP address rotary switch. Each position of this rotary switch is associated with a predefined IP (Internet Protocol Address). In networks with a properly configured DHCP server, your ISM-7412 can be issued with a valid IP address automatically. You can set your device to receive an IP address automatically by setting the rotary switch on position F.  

ISM-7412 Mature Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the device will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
