National Instruments ISM-7413 Integrated Stepper Drive and Motor Device

The National Instruments ISM-7413 (Part Numbers: 783603-01 and 783604-01) is an Integrated Motor and Stepper Drive Device. This device features a NEMA 24 size motor and the necessary control communication circuitry. The NI ISM-7413 is designed for simple applications where single-axis moves are required. This device is an ideal solution for those who find it difficult to construct a system after purchasing a motor and a stepper drive separately. This device enables you to start operating your system in a matter of minutes.

The NI ISM-7413 can be operated with an external power supply that is offered separately. Use of third-party, unregulated power supplies is not recommended with this Integrated Motor and Stepper Drive Device. However, consider integrating the SMD-7700 regeneration clamp in your system to mitigate the frequent tripping issue of your unregulated power supply. This device is fully compatible with the latest Ethernet standards and can be operated over LAN if you have the required software installed on the host machine.

For IP address configuration, the NI ISM-7413 comes equipped with a multi-position rotary switch. You can keep this switch positioned at the F position if you want your device to acquire a valid IP address from your IP server or DHCP server automatically. For manual configuration of the IP address, you can turn the rotary switch of your device towards the position that represents your desired IP address. The motor incorporated in this device can produce 340 oz-in. maximum torque.  

ISM-7413 Mature Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the device will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
